" Staff and security aren’t good let anyone in which is good for drinking and gathering together. But difficult to walk back to centre but close enough to get up late to get to levy it e being literally next door to the university. Small rooms and kitchen didn’t really have a big enough fridge for everything "

" Very expensive for what you get. Horrible security who treat you like your in junior school and question you when you walk in. They also do not help with any problems or worries! We had someone we didn’t know in our flat during a party who began punching our walls and security would not help!
Also the area is dangerous, many stabbings happened and people carrying knives with clown masks was a common site during the year where that was more prevalent.
We had gas leaks, electrical fires and flooding and no money was offered for the disruption. So many times we were evacuated in our pyjamas and left outside for hours. "

" Didn’t live here as I commuted but friends loved it! Probably not one for post grad or third year students as it’s more of a freshers location. It’s right next door to the Curzon building which is great in terms of accessibility. Millennium point car park is across the road but it does get very busy due to the science museum so parking may not always be available! Also, it’s not cheap to park there! "

" University locks is the most modern accomodation but the security was wayyyy too tight. You were only allowed two guests at a time and if you had someone over at night time they wouldn't let them in unless you filled out a form 2 days previous. Plus all the other places I stay put on social events but University locks didn't really have a good social setting so more difficult to meet people. "

" The overall aesthetic of the University Locks is very appealing. The location of the university and university pub is about 2 minutes away.
The building is very new which means there are a few issues that can arise such as broken doors or windows. The cooking equipment is really good as is the bathroom and bedroom size. The big windows are really nice for letting in natural light. The only issue of the rooms is the location is on a busy road so it can be very noisy.
The one issue is the lack of profiling for creating flats, this often leads to drama and people moving and swapping flats quite often. The security and staff are very very strict. With 24 hours in advance notification if you are bringing a friend overnight is not ideal as a student and the fact that parties are strictly monitored and often shut down makes it a little annoying being a fresher "
