" Merville was a great place to live in 1st year, super easy to get to my lectures on time from it and always felt very close to everything. The centra there was also really handy for basic shopping. The social life there was pretty good too. The bathrooms were quite small, and the lack of ovens was a little inconvenient. "

" This is a commuter campus. Most people go home at the weekend. Merville is situated very close by to a Centra, which is very convenient. Accommodation itself is kind of middle-of-the-road. Regulations surrounding guests, parties, and, in particular, coming back late from social events can be very frustrating. "

" Whilst living in Merville, it offered me the opportunity to be close to college and amenities while settling I . This meant instead of travelling long distances tirelessly to get to college, I was able to allocate my time to getting involved in social aspects of college - from UCD societies and volunteering. It was also an opportunity for me to develop stronger friendships as I was not having to leave campus everyday to catch the bus for 5pm.
Overall, living on campus for my first year was a significant experience for me, both socially and enabling me to settle in. "
