" Will Vill is its own community, but it can be a tough adjustment for a freshman especially feeling so distant from campus. At the end of the day I made my best friends in Will Vill that I still hang out with all the time 4 years later. "

" I like WillVill because you get to meet a lot more people than on campus since you're all packed together off-campus. Sure, the food isn't that great, but they're opening up a brand new dining hall next year for you guys, which should rival the C4C. Stearns also has a decently sized market. I usually just get ice cream from there, but they have frozen food and chips and stuff, which is nice when you don’t want to go to the grab & go. Also, there’s a pretty decent little rec center between Bear Creek and WillVill North which is nice to have. My best friends and prospective roommates right now also live in my dorm, and I think it’s much easier to make and keep friends when you live close together. WillVill definitely tries to foster community; it’s kind of like a little exclave of students that gets really close, whether you meant to or not. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the Engineering Center or the C4C from WillVill. If you're going to Fleming at all, it takes the same amount of time to walk as it does to the bus. I like walking to class in the mornings, and I don't have to navigate through thousands of people going to the same building I am. It does kind of suck when it's cold and everyone starts taking the bus, but it's definitely not that much of a disadvantage. It's pretty quiet out here, so if you're not totally into the party scene (or sports for that matter; campus gets busy during games) WillVill or Sewall (because it's forever away) are your best bets.
