" Murano is really hit or miss. If you get a refurbished flat with nice flatmates you'll probably have a great time. However, the old flats are not in a great condition and it all depends on who you live with. There are too little washing machines and the staff is not always helpful even when big stuff needs to be fixed (e.g. heating or kitchen appliances). "

" Murano is great for meeting people and becoming a social butterfly. It is close to many amenities however, it is at least a half hour walk from the university and can be unsafe at times. This is because of the area and entrance that is basically a bridge. "

" Very social scene. Perfect for extroverts or for people who want to make lots of friends early on in their university experience. There is a lot of parties and drinking, so be prepared to experience some potentially noisy nights and socialising. "

" Living in Murano street village was a good place to meet people and socialise, there were parties regularily and so I was easy to get out and meet people. Additionally there were always people living near you so you always had people to go back with. On a worse note it was about a half an hour walk to campus and given the weather in Glasgow this became more inconvienient than I would have thought. Cleanliness wise, there were cleaners who came once a week however sharing with 12 people many people didn’t clear up and the cleaners would refuse to clean or issue warning so if your flat mates were uncooperative this could be stressful. Also, dependant on flat mates were levels of noise. The walls were very thin so this became a problem when music was played particularly late at night. The study facilities available were good and there were often spaces and they remained free from distraction and close to the facilities. There were plenty of laundry facilities as well and the kitchen facilities worked well and were also easy to use. The wifi was also good. However overall the price for Murano still seemed overpriced considering there was a vast variety in the accomadation you might receive for the same price "
