" Good accommodation for freshers that are very socially active, often a place for pre's and parties so there will be a lot going on to get involved in. I would recommend it less for those that are less active as it can get pretty loud (even past 3am) and there will be a lot of people (many from other blocks). The aftermath of social events can also be pretty bad (dirty dishes, spilled drinks). Especially a problem since you'll be sharing a bath and toilet with others who may be less clean. Good place to get to meet others though which is important. "

" Great time living in rootes, making friends that I lived with in 2nd and 3rd year. Best social life of halls, and rooms were newly refurbished and clean. Kitchens and mess aren't too bad and the noise really isn't too loud. Definitely recommend. "
