National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG) was established in 1845 as Queen's College Galway. Currently over 17,000 students attend NUIG and it's one of Ireland's most popular universities for undergraduate study.

NUI Galway is divided into five colleges: Arts, Social Sciences & Celtic Studies; Business, Public Policy & Law; Engineering & Informatics; Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences and Science. It has earned national and international recognition as a research-led university with a commitment to top-quality teaching.

The campus is situated along the banks of the River Corrib and within walking distance of Galway city centre. NUIG boasts an active and vibrant student life, with over 50 sports clubs and over 100 societies on campus.

 " NUIG is a great place to study at. All areas of the school are very clean and the school offers excellent facilities for fair prices. Most professors are absolutely perfect and very friendly. The only issue is the cafeteria which is always packed, and if your break coincides with breaks of many other students, there is a small chance to get a seat. "

 " Was there for a short period, it was good and fun. Facilities are good and staff are helpful. I was there as a guest so i dont kjow who remembers me anyways. In one period month, it was acceptable. And I heard just good stuff. "

 " Great university. Really enjoyed my time there and faculty was amazing. Assignments were interesting and lectures were engaging. All in all, a great university to go to. Lots of different food options on campus which cater to many different dietary requirements as well "

 " Feedback on assignments is severely lacking, and it is hard to improve when no feedback is given. Student services are fantastic, but the academic staff need to prioritize their students over other commitments, not the other way around. "
