" It's a massive privilege to attend college here. It's an R1 school so research opportunities are plenty for those looking to get into grad school. Making relationships with professors is hard because of the class size, but it's definitely doable if you persist. The career, gym and mental health facilities are good, and you will feel supported even on a large campus like this one. Professors are genuine, nice (for the most part) and leaders in their areas. Dorm food gets boring after a while, but there are options for vegetarians and vegans. "

" UW-Madison is a great campus with great academic once you narrow down your studies to your major. Some 'filler' classes are hard and hurt your GPA. Classes during the pandemic have not slowed down, same amount of work, but professors lenient with deadlines and understanding of your personal situation. "

" The best MFA in creative writing in the nation. The students that graduate from the UW Madison Creative writing programs and writing fellowships are the leaders in their specific writing disciplines. Highly recommend the writing program here. "

" A great R1 institution with good academic pedigree. The programs (and their students) are well funded and have plenty of opportunities for career growth.
If you are planning to apply to this campus, I would suggest reaching out to professors in your area of interest. They are helpful and insightful on the admission process. "

" UW-Madison is a wonderful, fun, and high quality institution. Tuition can be prohibitive, but there are lots of opportunities in the area. Madison is a beautiful area in general, and the local population is friendly and intelligent. "
