" Charles Darwin University doesn't have a lot of people. Classrooms are small and there aren't many opportunities to meet people unless you're a big extrovert. But, it's still a nice place to hang if you do have friends or you like quiet places. It also got good food. "

" Only university in the Northern Territory, so there is no selection or competition unless you move interstate. This has effected the level of service and academic support to students, unfortunately. Everything seems to be backwards or more related to the university as a business rather than an educational hub, where people can come to improve themselves and their future. I do not know how this is in the top 2% of universities, as this is constantly advertised to promote CDU. I believe that the student should be first and that in any or every opportunity that the staff have they should want us to succeed. I have completed my degree at CDU and have gone on to do further study. You need to be able to be an independent learner or find a study group to be successful, as the staff are not always reliable. The only positive CDU has is at least the cohorts are no massive and you are not just a student number. Usually the lecturer is able to remember your name and some (minority) are passionate academics that do a fantastic job. "

" Overall I enjoy CDU and would recommend it to anyone that is looking to study in Darwin. However, the university does lack structure at times and I am left disappointed at the lack of communication especially. I have heard this a common concern experienced by many students in a variety of different courses. "
