" It was generally a good uni but the Psychology department was not great. Teaching styles were not adaptable to all students with different learning styles. And they had really harsh marking which was unnecessary. It felt like the teaching staff did not really care about the students and did not genuinely want to help them to achieve better grades or help them achieve the next level of education which is Honours and then Masters. Probably because it’s difficult to get into Honours as you need really high marks and there were limited spots available. Teaching staff and unit coordinators did not help students by providing proper support services, being flexible and giving us extensions. It was extremely hard to get extensions at that uni because it took a lot of paper work and it was not easily accessible as there were not direct and simple instructions on where to access them. "

" This is a top tier university, academically it goes without saying that this university is top quality. What differentiates this university from other universities in Sydney is the dominant social-archetype. The crowd that it attracts is namely from the Northern Beaches, the nearby selective schools, and a diverse array of internationals. In all, it is relatively chill and centre-left leaning with notable exceptions (compared to the University of Sydney). There are activities which are competitive, but the vibe around the campus is not ultra-competitive, people are generally humble, kind and accepting! "

" Great place to study! However, the trimesters are a bit hectic. Most professors are experts in their field. Everything happens in a flash and this can lead to burnout. Food facilities are above average to great! Internet is great! On-campus accommodation is expensive. Most assignments are application-based in my course. I would recommend it to anyone. "

" UNSW is a really great Uni if you enjoy an active social life and want to get involved in student clubs. Its societies are some of the best in New South Wales. Support services and admin are quick and efficient, which makes life easier. Teaching quality can vary, though; some lecturers and tutors are excellent, while others are less impressive. "

" UNSW, is a great place to study and for my field in particular it was quite special. I am apart of the school of BEES, Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences, which was a great part of the campus with great facilities. I wasn't very social outside of my department and not because I didn't want to, I was open to the idea, but nothing drew me in. All the societies felt like lame cliques, and I found the best people to hang out with were the ones besides you in class. Great time overall. "
