" I'm a graduate student (this option is missing). The university has a pretty good reputation and I really enjoy studying there. The university creates a good balance between a familial and a professional atmosphere "

" Great university, studying for 4 semesters now, can`t complain. Great professors, great community, but requires hard work. Some exams are super hard, + you need german language in order to get along with the material "

" Since I am working as a tutor for the university i was able to observe a newly originated team-spirit among the students. They were connecting via Discord and had meet-ups either learning for tests together or playing Dungeons and Dragons and so forth. So being new, connecting with the people around you is now much easier. Finding someone that can help you is not a huge deal now.
We have a big library with learning spaces. There are two group-learning areas, where it's usually a bit louder but people work and talk there so it's expected. If you need your quiet you can use the private-learning areas: These are filled with tables that you can reserve for only you and for as long as you wish. It's always silent and the only time someone talks to you is, if the ask you to watch over their stuff when they go to the toilet. The only problem is, that you have to be there quite early since the seats are pretty desired. On bad days i wait for 2 hours to finally get a seat.
Living expenses:
We are talking Vienna here. If you know how to find an affordable accommodation you are good to go. We consider rents around 400€ normal. There are cheaper ones as low as 300€, but that's pretty much it.
Restaurants are expensive, many Clubs have entrance fees and phone and internet is not that cheap either in Austria. But Vienna offers many discounts for students: Students living in Vienna pay 150€ from October to June for public transport and if you stay longer, there is an option for a "worry-free" annual ticket for only 365€. With any kind of ticket you can drive around Vienna as much as you want, above or below ground. Only a simple one-way ticket has a time limit of 90 minutes but that's usually enough to get from one side of vienna to the other.
To summarize: I live in Vienna and pay 400€ rent (all inclusive) + 300€ Food and 50€ to 150€ for anything else (partying, phone/intenet bills, other expenses). That's about 750€ to 900€ a month.
But I'm sure not on the cheaper edge. ;)
I am really happy to have chosen to study here. Things have gotten much better over the years and it's easy to find your way around. Even if not, there are always people willing to help. Staff is always there for you if you have problems and like to help out too.
Oh and about sports facilities: There are none included in our university as far as I know, but you can easily sign up for sports courses at the Sports Institute for about 30€ per semester. This is also well worth it. ;)
Hope I could give you a good overview of Vienna and the University of Technology. "
