" I love the university. I know it's got a bad reputation, and I don't discount the experiences of those students, but it's got a super good side too. There's a really engaged campus community, and it's pretty easy to find a spot in it if you're willing to reach out just a little bit. It is a really big university, and it's easy to feel lost at first, but there's a lot of various clubs, activities, spaces like dining halls, that make it feel more manageable/connected when you start to discover those networks. For academics, I've had some absolutely outstanding professors + some mediocre profs, but overall I think the academics are really solid + this is where the size of the university is awesome--there's a nearly infinite amount of classes and programs that you can pick from, so if something isn't working there's a lot of opportunities to switch. " Overall, UofT has been a positive experience for me. While at times overwhelming due to sheer volume of work and grade deflation, I was able to get involved with plenty of social clubs and academic ones. The level of "social" you are at UofT St. George is kind of up to you- this is something I wish someone had told me before attending. There are plenty of more stay-in type people to find, but, as a school with many commuters from the suburbs and city alike, it's up to you to find activities and people to meet. "

" Uft, is a great school. I am doing my masters and it is online currently due to COVID, so I have not yet received the full campus experience until things resume back in person. However being part of the community regardless, online, still makes one feel part of the community. Professors are passionate about their work, students are also passionate, and the environment fosters growth and progress. Work life balance is more difficult due to the workload sometimes, which is why organization is crucial. OISE has many supports for students, and is a great place to be! I just completed my first semester and have one year left. "

" Overall, the school has a great environment that is conducive to learning (the study halls, libraries, outdoor study benches). Though the course and academic pressures were a little bit more intense than other universities, the culture of the school has been a great and supportive one. There could be improvements on administrative management, but the campus offers wide range of facilities (especially the sport facilities). "
