" The Campus (UTSC) is decently quiet and peaceful; however during fall and winter semesters it becomes over crowded. It takes too much time to find a quiet spot to work and study. Not much decent food on Campus, the options are too limited. Though, staff and facilities are welcoming and friendly. "

" UofT is a great university if you are absolutely brilliant. It has a wonderful reputation, however, the learning experience was not enjoyable. Most professors are bad at teaching while the exams are extremely hard. They teach you basic & theoretical part in the lectures and expect you to know how to answer application questions. You need to invest a lot of time after school. "

" The professors in my field are all very supportive and open to criticism. However, outside classes options for things such as food are very scarce, expensive, and unhealthy "

" Overall, it's quite a good university. A lot of social life around these parts, you really feel immersed within the atmosphere of the student body. As a second year student now, first year was quite fun for me as I could meet a lot of people with the same interests as I and I was able to develop myself as an individual mentally and spiritually. The teachers are decent, but I'll admit to a bias being shown to a couple of teachers that may have been a tad rude or mean to me, but some professors are simply fantastic, while some can get a bit boring with their monotone voice and style of teaching. But all in all, a great university and there's a lot there you can do and enjoy yourself in the four year period as a student. Have fun everyone, and make good choices for university! This will certainly shape your character up in the next few years. "

" I have experienced and have heard first hand with possible racism cases. Example: when writing an essay on why Canada oil price crash, in my intro I mentioned about OPEC and their influence on oil price, yet the prof underline OPEC and ask why did i even mention about OPEC. In another course, when making a poster. I quote "The TA comments: Your poster layout was easy to read and your figures were used appropriately." and yet i got " 1/2 on organization, as well as 1/2 on clarity". I have also heard first hand from my fellow classmate that his answers were too perfect, so the prof thinks he is cheating so he only gave him 50%. Later found out from the TA that, the prof specifically mentioned to give my classmate a 50%. When my classmate appeal, the prof kept delaying it for 6 months, when he decided to meet, he refused to give the question paper, and only base on the answer my classmate provided and have him explain it. When my classmate, escalate the problem to the department head, the department head said its up to the class' prof, and he cannot step in and help. I have saw and experienced so many unfair treatment. "
