" UNB Fredericton is a wonderful place to study! Lots of friendly people, the campus is gorgeous (albeit, on a hill), and classes are well-taught. Many professors are extremely understanding of real-life situations (e.g., family emergencies, pandemic) as well, which makes research and coursework that much easier. The Psychology Department, in particular, is top-notch! We have a few world-renowned researchers, the graduate programs (i.e., Experimental and Clinical) are well-structured, and fascinating research is constantly on the go. Many of our graduate Psychology students are also fully or partially funded, either internally (e.g., Assistantships) or externally (e.g., Tri-Council awards) upon entering their first year. If not during their first year, we have had a lot of success at various stages of the program. "

" I attended for an online certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Overall the method for course delivery was great. I would consider taking another online course here. I do wish that I had the option to take the course in person, however it did not make sense geographically for me at the time. "

" The Psychology program is wonderful at UNB. The professors are generally friendly and accommodating. The first-year science program in general can be very demanding, which makes it difficult to work part-time. I would recommend looking up professors before taking courses.
The food at UNB is not 5 stars, but it is okay. There is a Tim Hortons, Booster Juice, a Sodexo restaurant, and a pub called The Cellar in the SUB. Also, the Social Club is located in the sub. "

" This'll probably be the only review on the Saint John campus in the next couple of years, so I'll try make this as informative (and real) as possible to prospective students.
Let me start off with the fact that UNB Saint John is a commuter campus. Experiences in commuter campuses vary, but what's pretty common is that you come to school just to study. This contrasts tremendously with the Fredericton campus, which is in a university town and almost every first year student lives on-campus, so there's much more lively student life in the Fredericton campus. Lots of Saint John's first year and second year students transfer to the Fredericton campus.
UNB Saint John isn't that bad of a campus. It's only recently starting to get taken care of; lots of infrastructure plans (as of the writing of this review, a new residence building is under construction and the old library building will undergo a renovation) in its recent past, but it's newest (and probably the prettiest building) is the Hans W. Klohn Commons. The dining hall is kind of ... below average (at least with my expectations) but surprisingly it becomes a good study place during finals season. Parking is okay, but there's a culture surrounding the fences at the back end of the parking lot, so watch out for that as well lol
The Saint John campus is also much smaller than the Fredericton campus in terms of student body. I can vouch that high schools in the City of Saint John probably has bigger student bodies than the university itself. UNB Saint John likes to advertise that as a strength of the campus, but you don't really experience benefits of "small class sizes" until you take upper year courses -- but somehow, upper year sciences are capped at 30 or 50 seats -- depending on which class. 30 seats is great for really discussion-themed classes, but lectures with 50 seats just sort of hit like first year introduction to xyz classes. If you're NOT going to be in sciences, you'd more likely experience the benefits of small class sizes (some classes are actually capped at 20 and do not even reach max capacity).
The academic staff, professors I should say, are great. At least in the SASE faculty, they are. Strangely enough, UNBSJ likes to stipend A LOT of its instructors, so there's a high turnover rate with some academic staff. It really only matters when it comes to textbooks (profs tend to use old textbooks or not use them at all but still post required texts as per the previous prof). They're very caring, though. There's no sort of profs that are like a literal needle in your eye.
WiFi is great. If you've heard of eduroam, it's what UNB has. Residence is under Rogers Fibre, so whatever experience you have heard with that, you'll probably experience it. Dunno when it'll get fixed but some parts of Hazen Hall has really spotty WiFi (it never was like that in my first year).
In terms of sports ... uh, I don't have much to say but we do have the Canada Games "

" Great for Graduate programs, small town and quite. Keeps you safe, and allows you to concentrate on school. Affordable educations and groceries are also cheap, transportation can be a bit annoying but they are improving it greatly. "
