" Not a bad university overall but was a fairly uninspiring experience for me the reason being mainly that I found a lot of classes far too easy, and professors often too unreasonable in their demands of flexibiility to student needs. It's a place of learning but a lot of the learning is done outside of the classroom, not sure if i really stand by any academic institution in particular as such i'm unsure if any of these criticisms really belong to york alone "

" I was happy with my time at York, although it was a bit of a rough transition into online school when COVID began. Overall, though, I found the many clubs and administrative staff to be incredibly helpful, and many of the courses I took were quite interesting and engaging. "

" I'm currently taking UX Design Certificate for Continuing Studies and so far so good. The instructors are very experienced and have deep knowledge of the courses they are teaching. If there is something they can improve on is to provide a zoom session on Orientation day for Continuing Studies courses. I think a lot of students are confused on the way the course works because there was no orientation and the 1st instructor dived to the course right away on the 1st day. "

" York Residence Staffs are not always good. Be careful when talking to them! One of those Dons and RLC did problem with me, when I needed support help. Also, if you are studying there, be sure, you can afford to get mental health service outside of York University. Because they sometimes refuse to serve some people. So, be sure you have health card coverage "
