" Compared to Red Deer Polytechnic, I really enjoy Lakeland College university transfer: Social work program. There was no volunteer hour requirement and the course load is very manageable. Small class and free parking is also a huge bonus. Lockers were also free this year although I did not take one. "

" Overall, I have positive experiences with this college. It is small, so the options that are available are limited in many ways (lack of clubs, societies, food options, etc). However, the staff is excellent, the classes are relevant, and there are many academic resources available that are very helpful. As I live in the residence, I can also say that the cost is affordable, though the living accommodations are outdated. I can not say there is much to do socially, there are not many events or opportunities to do more than just academic work, but I would recommend going here. It is a good first step before going to a bigger university for sure, as I know I was intimidated about college (in general) before coming here. "
