" The University of Ottawa is definitely a great school, especially for french as a second language and science based programs. The student accommodation services are amazing and make sure that you are on a level playing field with able-bodied students. There are plenty of extra-curriculars and sports available, for every type of personality. "

" I chose to attend the University of Ottawa for the french immersion courses and scholarships they provide. This also felt to me like the best combination of campus and program since not many other schools have a communications program "

" I thought the school provided me with the knowledge and foundation necessary in order to take on a professional program following my undergraduate degree. I highly recommend this school for a good academic experience. I personally wasn't into the social aspect of things so I cannot comment on that front. "

" I would not recommend University of Ottawa. There is no community feel to the school. The mechanical engineering administrative staff is completely dysfunctional. 2 out of the 5 classes I took I didn't learn a thing. In my one required course, they hired a contract professor who didn't know the course content. She would read off the slides of the previous professor, couldn't answer questions, and would leave an hour early every class. She literally walked out of class an hour early while there was a guest presenter and the class had to explain to him that she does this regularly. The "office space" I was given to work in was never cleared out or cleaned before I got it. I was given an old computer and told I couldn't make my own account on it. I ended up working from home on my personal laptop 90% of the time as it was better than the alternative. When I look at my peers who went to Carleton, they got clean spaces with working computers and duel screen monitors. I wish I had chosen to go to grad school there. "
