" Via is very open and a supportive place. Never had a single issue with any of the staff or other students.
Campus is new, offering everything you need. We even have fridges.
Teachers are always helpful and open for debates. Grades are fair and always explained why and what. "

" Campus in Herning is a bit weak compared to the Aarhus one but on the other hand, it’s cute and cosy and I don’t mind that. My programme and speciality are super practical and barely theoretical, we work in groups 90% of the time. I like the creative usage of learning methods, compared to my home country I’m often blown away and I can clearly see how these can be used in workshops in corporates and other workplaces. "

" Came here as a international from slovakia. As i am not the best learner, i was expecting that problem-based learning will help me. And it did as the method is perfect for gaining a lot of experience through the semesters that will prepare you for real world situations. The teachers are your friends/colleagues, not your bosses and they respect your opinions and open-mindedly listen to your solutions to a problem and guide you from there. "

" I was satisfied with the whole experience of studying at this University, academic staff was super helpful and friendly and the facilities can satisfy all of the student's needs. However, Herning is a small city and it might affect your social life. "

" I have encountered with many lecturers during my studies. Most of them were great, ready to help and full of knowledge in their field, but there were a few that were the complete opposite.
Overall, as an international student, I feel that I was not introduced to the student culture in here. For example in my home country lecturers will say what do we have to read to support what we have learned today, but in here everything is the other way around. Students must read about the topic before the lecture.
Talking about food, I was not a big fan, but again it is probably because I am not danish. I was used to a big variety of warm soups and main dishes every day. In here, I believe Denmark in general, they eat mostly cold food or different variations of sandwiches. They taste good, but I missed having warm proper meals more often.
Student life was amazing for anyone that wanted to experience it (before Corona). Parties at the campus, student village or downtown were one of the best I will probably ever have. Others may not find it so entertaining, but to me it was something else to be in a room full of people with different nationalities and simply talking to them how different our daily lives were. "
