" Had the time of my life in undergrad, especially in clubs and events as well as rigorous academics. It helped that most students were from an international background hence it was supre easy to acclamate. The faculty though, some of them may not have been as prepared to handle the internationality of the students as it requires some nuanced knowledge. Hence changing some rules/ older non-applicable or non-existing clauses was hard. The residential staff was always supportive and super friendly, amazing people! Made a ton of connections that are still valuable to date. THe leadership could use more stability but it's a young and growing university, so there are teething issues that can be solved over time with more stable management. "

" It's a great university to find your academic and social persona. The administration has a lot of room to improve. Overall, it was a great experience and some of the best years of my life, notwithstanding the challenges placed by bureaucracy and general tediousness in administrative work. "

" Overall a good pick if money is not an issue. Obviously, I’ve starting at the university during the corona pandemic thus many options were not available. Options regarding social life and sports facilities. Many lectures are good in person but subpar in an online format. I do believe that most of this is due to the pandemic and not the university however they need to communicate things more clearly. If you wish to attend here please talk to a current student that is in a program that you are applying to! "

" Overall, Jacobs is quite difficult to describe in a few words.
The positive sides are definitely the international aspects, amazing and inspiring people from all around the world, and great professors with mostly small class sizes (the popular first-year classes have about 100-120 students and my smallest class was only five people).
Besides all that, I still do not think that I can recommend Jacobs because the administration and organization are so bad. The semester started two weeks ago and I have been waiting for an appointment to register for classes for several weeks now. The registrar has four employees that are responsible for ca. 1000 undergraduate students and only have office hours twice a week. The food is incredibly overpriced (almost 6 euros for a main dish with meat while you only get 12.66 euros of meal plan money/day) and it tastes terrible, even for dining hall standards. Additionally, there are barely any vegan options and everything is wrapped in paper or plastic which goes against the school's own community standard of environmentalism. "
