" I am currently attending this University as an international student. Since my Master is actually gathering a lot of international students and has all of its courses in English, it was quite easy to get support to navigate through the administrative tasks. The classroom themselves are spread across the city center, which is a bit of a bother but online classes made that easier I guess. "

" The University is good for medical and social sciences. They are reputable in Germany, but the staff and courses are disorganized and you may not get that much support. It isn't easy as a non-German speaker. Limited options for English. There is a large international community and I would recommend joining clubs and living in student housing to make connections. The University is in an amazing location in Germany and close to nature. "

" UniFreiburg is a wonderful school. Your experiences will differ greatly depending on your faculty, studies, and colleagues. They offer a variety of programs in English so one does not need to know the German language before arriving, though it is helpful to learn a few phrases before coming. The university offers discounted classes for Uni Students to take German lessons if you so desire to. Overall, the city of Freiburg itself is very internationally friendly. It is not too big or small. It is known as the green city. Students get a big discount for the tram via the "semester ticket" and the after-hours/weekend ticket is free. You also get 30 minutes free use of the Freelo bikes. 30 minutes is more than enough time to get from one side of the city to the other and there are several parking stations throughout making rentals and returns very convienent. It is located in the Black Forest so perfect for short or long hikes. There are several lakes and ponds as well. The Alstadt has many restaurants, cafes, shops, and bars. Everything is pretty well connected via the transportation system. Switzerland and France are close by and easy for a day trip. From Breisach (a town nearby), you can walk or ride a bike to the next town in France. The Studierendenwerk Freiburg Black Forest (SWFR) puts on a lot of events for meeting new people and learning about Freiburg. They organize hiking events, wine tasting, speed friending, etc. Many students also create subgroups (their own groups) for sports activities or get-togethers for anyone who wants to join. You will never be lonely here or bored if you are willing to put yourself out there and join in different activities. You will have a diverse group of people from all around the world to interact with. "
