 " The University of Gottingen is a good university. In the program that I am currently enrolled, there is a variety of classes that I can choose from. Since most of the people living in Gottingen are students, it wasn’t that hard to find new friends. Beside that, the first week of orientation in university was really fun and well organized. "

 " First of all, the city is great for students. For studying you are expected to learn mostly on your own and it is 99% theoretical - everything revolves around memorizing lectures for an exam. Some professors are very good and engaged but the majority just reads through their PowerPoint. Also, the university isn't doing a good job of communicating with students and simple things can end in a bureaucratic nightmare. "

 " I am really happy with my university. I did not only study for my Bachelor's here but als for my Master's (in which I am currently enrolled). The options to choose classes are great, the atmosphere on the campus is great (Göttingen is a sweet little student city) and in pre corona times, the parties and events were amazing (the first week so called orientierungswoche is suitable to find friends, make connections and party hard). However, since it's also about the studying, I can say that the profs are all friendly and once you succeed the first two semesters, the stuff you learn actually get interesting. There are also many paetnerships with international universities making it possible to go abroad for a semester or two without a hassle. The only thing that could be optimized is the innovativeness of courses offered, e.g., I would be interested in a course to learn more about blockchain technology but the university sometimes lacks in that regard. Other faculties are also reported to be great and the university albeit being in a rather small town, has a pretty good name and reputation in Germany. "

 " It was a good choice to come to Göttingen. The city is not too big but there is still a lot going on. There are many cafeterias to grab a bite and the food is good and relatively cheap. I really enjoyed the sports facilities since there is so much to do. I think the gyp is fairly small so it can get crowed. But all in all it is defintely worth going. "

 " Huge diversity on campus, many clubs and offers for all interests. Big market for student jobs. Also, many partner universities and international cooperations so for someone aiming for a semester abroad, the Geord-August-University Goettingen has many things to offer! "
