" Studying here is an enjoyable thing. As Göttingen is a university city, you have the chance to know students from all over the world. The overall environment is very open and multicultural. The academic staff here are responsible for students. The professors are easy to get along with, you don't have to worry that they won't answer your questions, even the questions are stupid. Some professors are very interesting and good at telling jokes. The libraries can be seen almost everywhere in the city, so you don't have to worry that you can find a silent and comfortable place to study. "

" I attended UniGottingen for my Master's studies and it was overall a very pleasing and interesting experience. I had some issues with the international office and the bureaucracy at times, but it worked out well in the end. UniSports could be closer to the city though. :) "

" The University of Gottingen is a good university. In the program that I am currently enrolled, there is a variety of classes that I can choose from. Since most of the people living in Gottingen are students, it wasn’t that hard to find new friends. Beside that, the first week of orientation in university was really fun and well organized. "

" First of all, the city is great for students. For studying you are expected to learn mostly on your own and it is 99% theoretical - everything revolves around memorizing lectures for an exam. Some professors are very good and engaged but the majority just reads through their PowerPoint. Also, the university isn't doing a good job of communicating with students and simple things can end in a bureaucratic nightmare. "

" I am really happy with my university. I did not only study for my Bachelor's here but als for my Master's (in which I am currently enrolled). The options to choose classes are great, the atmosphere on the campus is great (Göttingen is a sweet little student city) and in pre corona times, the parties and events were amazing (the first week so called orientierungswoche is suitable to find friends, make connections and party hard). However, since it's also about the studying, I can say that the profs are all friendly and once you succeed the first two semesters, the stuff you learn actually get interesting. There are also many paetnerships with international universities making it possible to go abroad for a semester or two without a hassle. The only thing that could be optimized is the innovativeness of courses offered, e.g., I would be interested in a course to learn more about blockchain technology but the university sometimes lacks in that regard. Other faculties are also reported to be great and the university albeit being in a rather small town, has a pretty good name and reputation in Germany. "
