University College Dublin (UCD) was established in 1854 by John Henry Newman. It's currently ranked among Europe’s leading research-intensive universities. UCD consists of five colleges and 18 research institutes and centres. The University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in areas including agriculture, architecture, business, education, engineering, humanities, law, medicine, science and veterinary medicine.

The main campus is located on a 365 acre site in Belfield, 4km south of Dublin's city centre. It has a wide range of modern learning and sports facilities. On campus accommodation is provided for approximately 3,000 students.

 " Overall, I would recommend this university. It can feel somewhat isolated as it is not located close to the city, but everything you need is provided on campus (e.g., bank, pharmacy, doctor, etc.). My experiences with academic staff and course material has been, for the most part, positive. "

 " Nice for international students. Great program, really interesting and you can do an exchange abroad. Wide network and great corporate engagement opportunities. A bit too far outside Dublin, better with a bike or a car. Cute town. "

 " Really enjoying my time here. Great facilities, especially in terms of sport. Quite expensive, however cost in living is high in Dublin. Psychology course was very enjoyable and insightful. Final year project was a great experience into research methods. "

 " Very good experience as a visiting student everyone was so nice and helpful. I studied in the very good and big library. You should choose this University for your Erasmus or academic studies.  Everything is professional and the academic staff help you and make you learn lot of things. "

 " It is a good place to study it has a great environment with lots of young people. It has good events to attend. It would be better if they had a better gym for weightlifting as the one they have gets really busy. "
