" apart from the struggle of finding accommodation and the living expenses along with extra expenses Gmit is good. The canteen food is expensive and not so great. The staff are helpful too. __________________________________________ "

" GMIT creates a wonderful learning environment. I was particularly happy with the smaller class sizes than bigger universities. All of my lecturers knew me on a first hand basis, and they all helped me with additional work anytime it was needed. The staff are kind. The student supports are first class and the students are also a lovely bunch. All in all I couldn't recommend it more. "

" GMIT is a good college if you want a more technical education. For example in my course we got a lot of hands on electronics courses in our first two years, but that has dropped since entering third year. But we have had labs for programming in each semester.
Most of the lecturers are great and very helpful I have found their labs and lectures to be both engaging and interesting. On the other hand there are a few lecturers who are not as good and in 2020 being moved to online learning this has only exacerbated the issue. Some of our lectures involve nothing more than the lecturer reading through free online tutorials. It is something to bear in mind.
GMITs Galway campus is kinda far away from the town itself, but there is a lot of busses that go by the college and into town. So while facilities in the college aren't fantastic, the nightlife of Galway is as always brilliant. "

" My course programme is online, so I can't say much about the campus facilities.
The platform and support for distance learning are great. Very supportive and efficient academic and administrative staffs. "

" GMIT is located on the outskirts of the city, with the bus stop right outside going to the city center every 15 minutes. The college has loads of choice with the clubs and societies, one to suit most interests. There's lots of student accommodation close to GMIT, Glasan is usually the main choice for first years, and is directly across the road from the college. Also plenty of estates close to the college. There's an excellent student nightlife in Galway. Loads of pubs and nightclubs which have great student deals during the week. "
