" I personally enjoy studying at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU).
This university locates in Beppu, a small town which is famous for the onsens (hot springs). Even though Beppu sometimes can be inconvenient when it comes to transportation for example, compared with big cities, it is a very chill and calm tourism city, where you can enjoy nice natural views, the sea, mountains, natural onsens (hot springs) and everything you can imagine. Believe it or not, there is even onsen in the student dorm.
Even though the university ranks not as high as others because it is new, it has tons of opportunities for students. It is a university with a multicultural environment, including half Japanese students and half international students from more than 80 countries. It is a perfect place for those who are interested in Japanese culture and do not want to be too far away from the international environment. It is very common for students in APU to speak at least three different languages fluently. Since it is very multicultural, the professor and administrative staffs here are relatively more open-minded than other Japanese universities. Besides, this university offers tons of opportunities, as long as you want to do something for your future development, you can find something in APU to nurture your future. Moreover, one of the best things about APU is the high employment rate. Especially for those who want to work in Japan, APU has a very high employment rate due to the students' multilingual ability. And the career office in APU will provide you job-hunting information and help you do the mock interviews! Therefore, it is not difficult to get a decent job after graduating from APU.
Overall, it is a nice university and it develops fast. Welcome to APU! "

" It was an international university of both Japanese style education as well as Western-style. Overall, I would say it is worth studying in a diverse environment, can meet a lot of people (students, professor, and staff) from different countries. Especially for people who wanted to learn Japanese, the school is required to teach the Japanese language during the freshman year. "
