" This university is a research university and is Malaysia's number one university. Strategically located on the western end of Kuala Lumpur, the university is well-connected with public transport and nearby amenities like shopping malls, high-end neighbourhoods and even the highway. The campus' population is diverse and inclusive as all walks of life (whether local or international) attend here. The campus itself is like a mini self-sufficient city, with its own lake, park, faculties, sports centre, stadium, dormitories and even a student clinic, which perfectly caters to every student's needs.
The only downside of this university is its IT and WiFi. WiFi coverage is not strong due to the growing number of students being enrolled on the university year on year. The university's course registration website constantly breaks down during the period of course registration, leaving many students frustrated and disappointed at the university's capacity. I hope that the university can seriously rectify this issue.
Overall, if you are looking forward to further your studies at Malaysia's number 1 university, University of Malaya is the place for you! "

" The campus life in University of Malaya is quite liberating. The lecturers are all professionals and very well versed in their field of study. However, the living cost can be quite high if you intend to stay off campus. Dormitory is the cheapest accommodation you can get, plus the perks of being near the faculties and university facilities. The learning environment is very competitive so you will find yourself striving to be the best. "

" UM is a prestigious institution with a vast campus and excellent accommodation facilities. As the oldest university in Malaysia, it offers outstanding opportunities for postgraduate students to publish research in ISI and Scopus-indexed journals, with unparalleled support from its professors. I believe UM is the best university for anyone wanting to learn research methods from the ground up, while also enjoying a beautiful campus and great food. Although the number of international students and faculty is mainly limited to those from Asia and South Asia, I believe that with more promotional efforts and awareness campaigns, UM could attract even more professors and students from Europe, the Americas, and beyond. Considering its impressive research output and global rankings, the university truly deserves greater funding to support its continued contributions to high-impact academic work. I hope to make the University of Malaya proud by becoming a PhD alumnus soon and contributing further to its research achievements. I wish UM all the best for the future. "

" The University of Malaya is a great place to study, it's just that most of the student's voices and opinions are not heard most of the time. I think that the University of Malaya should cater their actions more towards the students well being. "

" THE BEST UNIVERSITY THAT I ATTEND SINCE MY DEGREE. Campus location and amenities: University Malaya is situated in a prime location, with easy access to public transportation and a variety of amenities, such as libraries, sports facilities, and cafes.
Quality of academic programs: University Malaya is known for offering rigorous and comprehensive academic programs that prepare students for a variety of careers and professional pursuits.
As for areas that could be improved at University Malaya, this may also vary among individuals. Some common suggestions include improving the accessibility of resources, enhancing the campus infrastructure, and promoting a more inclusive campus culture. "
