" The hotel management school in Maastricht is a good school for (international) students. The students are all very close with each other and the network during and after school is very strong. The name is well-known in the Netherlands, and during your studies you already get recruiters and HR departments in your inbox who are interested in you. However, the management of the school needs improvement, especcially on the front of communication with students. "

" Campus Maastricht is very nice, with good canteen, library, silent rooms to work and computer rooms. Teachers are quite young and therefore nice communication. Interesting study program. No sport facilities available. "

" Would recommend, nice members of staff, nice location, good amount computers available, good food however not always a big cafeteria to choose from. Facilities were good, however not many parkingspots. Public transport connection is good. Finally, first year almost everything is mandatory attendance, the last years you get more freedom and can choose to join classes or not. "

" The University does have some management issues along with communication issues. Sometimes classrooms are double-booked or lecturers are not aware that they have a lecture to give. "

" Please note: while my particular study, when I started, is an amalgamation of 3 equal parts, this has already been changed (academic year 2017-2018), therefore please not that my views are out-dated. And Zuyd has multiple locations, but I can only give my review about the ‘Brusselseweg’ monastery building.
I will dissect most of my reasoning behind the scores and answers, starting with: Staff.
In general the staff is competent and knowledgeable, with the odd exception of one or two lecturers; I will not go into their character, only their ability as teachers to teach. The subject(s) they were hired to teach, they teach well, with the only problem being the sources they use; out-dated books, out-dated software. This however is a common problem in universities of applied science. My biggest 'but...' is that computer literacy could do with a boost.
Study:
I cannot truthfully answer this, as I have already stated my study is no longer given the way I am used to.
Facilities:
The Wi-Fi is free and generally the reception is good on all floors and in all rooms. The computers are old, yet functional, running on older windows but in general getting the job done; having said that, most students bring their laptops with them for that is much easier and more reliable. The cantina is expensive and mediocre, but for the most part sufficient; there is a grocery store 10 minutes’ walk from the Uni, so those who do not care for the cantina simply walk to the store.
Accommodations:
This is not a university in the traditional sense that you get a room on the campus, especially seeing as we do not have a campus. You mostly rent your rooms via private or corporate routes, with foreign students getting special treatment via the Uni’s connections.
Sports facilities:
Almost non-existent. For this day and age Zuyd does very little to stimulate student to work out, do sports, or simply even get into an aerobics class; most of these endeavours have ceased to be starting last year, mainly due to the lack of applicants (which in turn was due to a lacklustre starting offer from Zuyd).
Social Scene:
Maastricht is a vibrant small city, where most students end up enjoying their stay. There are several study and student groups where you can get in; some have ‘hazings’ mind you. Aside from that there are sport clubs that you can join, and enough bars, clubs, and pubs to hang out in. There are a few parks, museums, cinemas and other things where you can either meet new people, learn new things, or go to with fellow students and friends.
All in all, could be better could be worse. Personally the biggest annoyances are the lack of clear communication and out-dated resources. On the plus side, you’ll meet people of all walks of life, have the possibility to do your internship(s) all over the world, and if you do not specifically name your study you can brag about Zuyd in general being a reasonably well off university in comparison to other un "
