" Re the curriculum, it's very extensive however it would need more courses on practical skills I think. The university is a very competitive one. The people, the organizations are brimming. It's a lot to take in at first. If i could redo my college experience, I'd still choose UP "

" Academic workload is lighter compared to other universities, but each unit is packed and is sure to teach you something. People attending the university is diverse! You get all sorts of people, coming from different place. It's overwhelming at first, especially if you came from urban areas but it's sure that you'll always find a niche. Staff are accommodating and the place itself is wonderful. Lots of places to chill or study. "

" Open university atmosphere - mixed nationalities, personalities, sense of fashion, age, sexual orientation, and backgrounds. I had an opportunity to get along students from both public and private high schools and not only from locally but international level. Top notch professors. It was really a privilege to be taught, handled and challenged by different types of UP professors. We were given the opportunity to enlist and choose the professor that we like for a certain subject requirement for the curriculum. From young professors who are very enthusiastic and high spirited to the professor emeritus and the not so young but technologically savvy and modern type of professors that we have which I can say gave me the variety of learning and ideas which made me who I am today. " Admission to the university was challenging due to the long process, together with its admission test. However, it is also worth it because you get to involve yourself with the masses, with your society. You will be trained to be a critical thinker in all aspects. UP does not only produce globally competitive professionals but also shapes their students into becoming persevering and compassionate individuals. "

" Great faculty, but poor facilities due to the university being state-funded. The curriculum, however, is excellent, and campus has a strong student organization culture which fosters social and leaderskills amongst students. "
