" Full of activities, but still feels somehow old in the academic system for engineering.
I would suggest doing self-study about engineering topics while joining. However, there are professors with the best research experience although they are not the best at teaching. "

" Overall it seems a great place. I think the academic staff could be better. The facilities are great and at a good price, mostly free. You get awarded with scholarships if you get a good GPA and maintaining it is very easy. "

" Overall, it is a great institution with a great quality of education delivered. The instructors are very helpful with a few exceptions. However, the university has failed to adapt to the new distance learning system due to the COVID-19 crisis. "

" Great public university, with excellent financial aid programs. Wonderful facilities, even though most of the campus is segregated for females, the male campus is big enough for the student population. Theres always plenty of space in the library, computers labs, etc.
Professors are mostly foreign. The student body is approx. 60% Qatari.
The Social scene is kind of quiet due to QU being a commuter school, but everyone is open minded and welcoming if you approach them.w
Programs in both English and Arabic. Most classes do have attendance.
The housing provided by the university is extremely good value and very inexpensive compared to local rent. Internal shuttle service is convenient as campus is pretty large and it gets very very hot during the summer.
I'm having a great time, and I dont really have any regrets. Overall, a really positive experience so far. Everything I need is available for free or is heavily subsidized. "
