" The university is situated in city named Cluj, in Romania. It is one of the biggest universities; so the living costs are quite high(renting an apartment). But believe it is one of the best place to study in Romania. One does not have to worry about food. There are a lot of choices one can make. A large part of the Cluj city population is made out of students and young graduates. There are a lot of discounts for many restaurants and gyms and hair salon and so on. One can see that the city is alive. There are a lot of concerts and events one can join. Also the university offers a lot of programs(entrepreneurial and many others) "

" Overall, it's a great institution. I would definitely recommend it to future students. The facilities are excellent, and my faculty offers both on-campus and distance learning options. It's also a great choice for international students. "

" It's the top university in Romania and the Advertising area of study is modern compared to others in the country. Scholarship is generally not very expensive. It is very multicultural and you can study in Romanian, English, Hungarian or German. "

" I am really satisfied with my campus and definitely recommend. University programme well developed
I studied in Cluj-Napoca which was the European Capital of Teenagers back in 2015. Obviously, the city is great, no doubt, but the prices are too high when talking about renting an apartment (and even buying something from a shop is way more expensive than another city in Romania) and this is making student life very very odd and hard.
Although these high prices, I think the student life is nice in Cluj, at least at UBB. You have a friendly student dorm, nice people, but there are also bad things in these dorms: most of them have 4-5 students in the same room. Luckily with covid, now are only 2-3 students in a room, but when I was a student, 1 year I stood in a room with other 4.
Talking about the university itself, there are nice teachers wich are willing to help, presenting their courses in an understandable way, the classes are nice, clean rooms, but, there is a big minus: your chances are very low evolving into your field of study and this is happening almost in every university from our country, unfortunately. If you are very very very good, then you have chances of getting a job in your field of study, but if you are a “normal” student, your chances are almost low. Teachers tend to work only with those who are very very very good and who have only 10 after each exam, this is not good. The rest of the students are somehow forgotten.
But in general, the life of a student at UBB is nice, you have access to information, the university has a big library where you can study and so on.
If you ask me, I’d never follow a university program, I’d better go to work from 16-17 years. Here, universities, in general, are not teaching you how to live, how to invest your money, how to go out in the world to face the reality. "

" I enjoyed my time here but I kinda wasted 3 years of my life. I was expecting something else in terms of the things we learn and the level at which we start learning those things. The professors were very friendly and they treated us equally to them, they didn't show any signs of superiority and the only thing that they requested was respect for they class. "
