" Very beautiful university with a lovely view of table mountain and the City of Cape Town. Very calming and soothing atmosphere and environment. Great level of education. Would definitely recommend the best university in Africa. "

" The staff is super helpful. They reply quickly to all emails and are ready to assist with whatever you might need. The professors are the best of their fields, with real professional experience. The lectures are really interesting and interactive. We often have guest lecturers and go on field trips. "

" Beautiful location. I attended it a long time ago so I think it may have changed a lot, particularly in terms of the student body awareness following Fees Must Fall. Parking was an issue but there are buses. I guess the fact that the upper campus is quite isolated makes it quite cut off. "

" I enjoy my time as a postgrad at UCT more than my undergrad. UCT's workload is very intense, especially in your undergrad, but it is definitely worth it once you start working. You can tell why it's the top university in Africa. You are naturally forced to develop the ability to handle stress and solve problems because UCT will push you to perform your best at all times. It is an extremely humbling experience due to how hardcore your studies can be but in the real world, I realised it definitely puts in a better position than most students from other universities and sets me apart from them. There is a reason why UCT is considered to be on par with the most prestigious universities in the world like Oxbridge and Ivy League schools. Coming out of UCT, I definitely don't feel like I'm any less cleverer than students from those schools.
Postgraduate experience is completely different from undergrad - you have more access to the faculty and develop more personal connections with the academic staff which is very cool. As a current Masters student, I can certainly say my experience at UCT has significantly improved. Only downside is, UCT's admin will always be terrible whichever degree you're enrolled at. "

" There are a lot of extra-curricular activities available for everyone at UCT. The academic staff are very helpful and considerate for the most part and will usually do their best to help students cope with high volumes of work load. Campus facilities are also top notch with excellent wifi signal almost everywhere and sufficient computer access to all students. "
