" I recommend studying at the University of Basel! The university has buildings all over the city, some nicer than others (e.g. one with a direct view of the Rhine). There are many sports courses available for free and Basel has a nice cultural / social scene. And living expenses are not as high as in other swiss cities like Zurich or Geneva. "

" I like the University Basel, it is a nice town, a nice place to be.
Parking spaces for cars are not available, but when you come with you bicycle, you will always find something.
When I had problems the student services and their IT was always quick to help and the professors were also very helpful when asked something.
Just the food options are not always that good, I think it is a bit expensive for what it is. And always ask for more sauce, they always give too little in my opinion. "

" Even though there is no parking space for students, nobody needs them, because everyone either commutes with public transport or by bicycle.
The living expenses are rather high, but thats normal for Switzerland. Most of the students here work part-time to be able to afford living/studying here.
Cultural live in Basel is exceptional and there are options for everyone. "

" Overall, I'm happy with my decision attending University of Basel, Faculty of Psychology. Especially, the courses within the focus on HCI Master's degree you are well prepared for the industrial life after graduation (for an academic life, there are still potential for improvement). The facilities are ok - not the most comfortable and modern ones but is acceptable. Imo, the bureaucracy needs to be improved, as currently several important things (such as the whole admin procedure for graduation) are not always communicated transparently. "

" All in all, I would recommend the University of Basel. The lectures and seminars are mostly exciting from a scientific point of view (I can only judge for my specialization in psychology - Human Computer Interaction). What I liked best was that the Human Computer Interaction department is very small, people know each other and social occasions such as aperitifs or barbecues are not missed out. But this can be different in other specializations with more students.
The only two points of criticism on my part are the rooms, which are technically not up to date (old beamers, few sockets) and the administrative support I am not completely satisfied with. You just have to take care of everything yourself and the secretariats have only short and few opening hours. "
