" High level university, providing education in a similar way to colleges in USA. Some of the teachers are more of a researcher rather than your traditional professor, to turn this into an advantage is up to you. Overall one of the best, if not the best university in Turkey. "

" After spending 8 years at Koç University (5 years BA and now in my 4th year in PhD), I can confidently say that it is one of the best private colleges in Turkey which has a steady presence internationally. Most attracting features of the campus are their academics who are well qualified and mostly with PhDs from abroad and also the gorgeous campus in northern Istanbul. Campus is big enough and has all the facilities in it that one could ever need. It is very secluded though and a bit far from the main city attractions. So at times it feels like you don't even live in Istanbul. That's the reality of it. Weather is usually bad and has some northern climate with lots of rains and moody weather. But overall, it is a well-funded university and the founder of it is one of the richest families in Turkey. That really pays off in terms of the architecture, facilities and the overall quality. The air of freedom is good within the campus. People are encouraged to be themselves and be open to others and their differences. That is why it is easy to make friends and also develop a healthy self-identity during the uni education. One of the most liberal university campuses you can find in Turkey. I definitely recommend for those who have an affinity with Turkey or who would like to do research in Turkey. "
