" Great location for a blend of city life and nature. My classes were well organized and easy to follow. The university offers many resources for students along with strong housing options and active student life initiatives. "

" As an online student I have found the curriculum to be well thought out and useful, the professors have been approachable and available, and the online system in which you complete your coursework has been intuitive and easy to navigate. "

" Great school, not enough parking spaces. The campuses don't flow that great and some buildings are difficult to get to. But the overall feel of the campus is great. Needs some improving with the faculty. "

" The campus offers a lot if you're willing to put in the effort to put yourself out there. It's a beautiful location and filled with a rich history. I've really enjoyed my time roaming the campus and going to class. While it's a research university, the professors offer experience and insight into their fields and help nurture your growth. "

" I never lived on campus so I cannot speak to that experience, but I loved my time at UNR for the most part. My program was very small and there were not as many course options as I would have liked, but I enjoyed the intimacy of having a small cohort, including more instructor face time and little competition for RA and TA positions. The academic staff was incredible; it was my interactions with Dr. Fridland, Dr. Clayton, and Dr. Ferguson that ultimately led me to pursue a graduate degree/reconsider my future's trajectory. I am eternally grateful for the insights and experiences I had in my program.
The new gym is beautiful. The KC is beautiful. The mining library is beautiful. The campus is beautiful. The counseling service center is great. (ALSO! There is a great stairwell in the School of Arts where anyone can go and legally spraypaint/appreciate the incredible art.)
I was not in a sorority/entered as a transfer student so I do not think I laid the proper foundation to have an exceptional social life (i.e. not meeting tons of people in a dorm my freshman year who would become my life-long mates), but UNR's central location -- right next to downtown -- makes it easy to participate in things on and off campus. Plenty of great bars or house parties or campus activities in close proximity. "
