" Went here because I wanted to stay in state. Wasn't exactly a fan of the place at all. The advisors were extremely rude, there was always a constant overcast on campus, like literally, once you left the highway exit it was off of, the sun suddenly started shining. The parking is just all around the campus in a circle so you may be right next to your class...or you could be. mile away. "

" University of Maryland, Baltimore County is my top choice for anyone studying Psychology because of the opportunities available, the faculty and professors, and the extensive list of classes available that allows students to explore the huge field that Psychology is. The overall atmosphere of the campus and the people attending is incredibly welcoming, and as a current senior I am saddened to know that I will not be able to attend events and seminars much longer. Overall, if you are interested in psychology at UMBC specifically, I highly recommend it! "

" Overall this campus is great for people who are in the STEM field, but that should not discourage students in the arts or social sciences from coming here too. The social scene on campus is pretty quiet on the weekends as people tend to keep to themselves, but that also allows students to have solo quiet spaces to study (especially in the library) and develop their own niche of friends. " Great school to attend if you want to focus on your studies. The campus lifestyle is lacking compared to other schools, but the academics are unmatched. The campus facilities are striking, especially the newer ones and the college is small enough to not feel overwhelmed, while maintaining a college atmosphere "

" I've only been here for a semester so my experience is limited. The people I've interacted with so far were friendly and helpful.
UMBC does have a lot of commuters so on the weekends, the campus seems empty. However, the campus is fairly new and it is scenic.
Overall, I would say UMBC is a good university. "
