 " Excellent university, especially for the price. The school really practices what it preaches in terms of "Learn By Doing". Very hands on classes that made me and other students very employable. Many companies recruit specifically from Cal Poly because they know we have real-world project experience. Social scene is also good. Beautiful surroundings, so lots of great hikes and beaches. Students tend to have a very active lifestyle. While everyone is very friendly, the student body is comprised of mostly younger students (18-25), so if you are more mature student it may be harder to fit in. "

 " My time here was amazing. They had a lot of activities for clubs. The teachers are extremely kind and accommodating to situations that may come up with students. This is mostly for liberal arts section programs "

 " Although the food sucks, I would still recommend this school! I love my major and the community. There are hundreds of clubs and the variety of classes available is wonderful. Most of the professors I've had are engaging and empowering. "

 " Great school. Kind of in the middle of nowhere, BUT you're right between Los Angeles and the Bay Area. Flip a coin and Ryde ;) Cool people, there are crowds for everyone. Great off-campus housing opportunities are available for students with all sorts of budgets. Lots of job opportunities and ways to connect to your industry of choice. "

 " Very nice location and great weather year round. Great safety and great campus social environment. The food options are not adequate for lots of students, however. I wish sports were bigger here and that Greek Life had a bigger scene. "
