" Would recommend although it is more of a commuter school (even though parking is a nightmare). Although the social scene may be lacking, the academic staff are very friendly and will go above and beyond to give you ample opportunity for you to succeed. "

" Overall, in my opinion, Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) is a good institution. It is a commuter school and it can be difficult to make friends if you're not outgoing. There are a lot of events hosted by the school where you can get involved. The gym also hosts exercise classes and events. As a psychology major, the department has helpful professors and I would suggest reaching out to ones that you share interests with. You can ask them for advising help with class suggestions, graduate school, or getting involved with research. I found some professors more helpful than others, but by reaching out via email and attending office hours you can find a good fit. If you are interested in graduate school, you need to be proactive about research opportunities. Not all professors conduct their own research, so you may need to contact multiple faculty members. Most professors I have had have been very understanding and want students to succeed. They have been empathetic and available for support. However, I have not found the administrative advisors as helpful. I was misadvised and had to take a heavy course load to graduate on time. I would recommend meeting with advisors but double checking graduation requirements and transfer credits independently. "

" A great school for the price, but has its pitfalls. Parking is a nightmare (but what public school doesn't have this problem), the administration leaves a bit to be desired, and the social scene is a bit weak since this is a commuter school and most students live away from campus. However, the academics here are amazing and there is a plentiful amount of academic clubs to partake in. Lots of great professors. "

" Really great school- hands on learning. I’ve learned so much and have used the materials to apply to real situations. This school preps you for a career in your field and emphasizes entrepreneurship. The class availability is flexible and lots of options. The campus is beautiful and there’s lots to do. "

" I wouldn't say I love my school, but it's good overall. The campus is nice, and the other students are great. I'm not a big fan of the faculty and staff, though. The food options are really good, but I don't use a lot of the on-campus facilities that much. "
