" The parking was horrible-never enough spots for the students; take morning classes and get to school early so you will always find parking! Besides the parking and the traffic outside of school in the morning, everything else was fine and went smoothly. I was able to get out in 4 years, and even though they do not actively help you if you plan to go on to grad school, the resources are there for you to utilize (seeking out labs, advisors, career counseling, etc.). I wish I had utilized more of the campus resources! It's a nice, small sized campus that you can walk across within 30 minutes or less. "

" I came here fresh out of highschool, and I was in for a huge surprise when coming to Cal Poly Pomona. I was apart of the Collins College group and all of the professors on top of the hill were/are amazing! The Kellogg restaurant is a fantastic experience and essential to every student's development as a restaurant focused hospitality student! The career fair is also amazing and provides many networking opportunities. My favorite part about Cal Poly Pomona were the 6 free clothing items you could redeem every quarter at the career center. Now that it is in semester format versus quarters, I am not sure what that means in regards to how many clothing items you can get but it's a good perk for the struggling student that needs some interview clothes! P.S. parking is terrible! Remember to check ratemyprofessor and koofers for professor reviews BEFORE taking their class. "

" Overall I would say that Cal Poly Pomona is a great school. Cal Poly Pomona offers great value for what you are paying compare to some UC. Although some people say that Cal Poly doesn't have the best food choices, I would disagree with that statement. There are a lot of choices available here. The negative things about this school is that, the campus is not very social and parking sucks. This is defiantly a commuter school, so don't expect social scene here unless you are in a club or fraternity/sorority. Parking is an issue during the first couple of weeks and during midterm. "

" I think the school has one of the best "bang for your buck" ratio in the area. The school provides quite a bit and although I can imagine straight up better schools, I don't think you can find one of this quality at this tuition fee. The school is relatively well known for its engineering department due to its "learn by doing" philosophy and at times that can be a double-edged sword. What I mean is that since people know it for its engineering department, it means that it has specialized and at times, it can feel like their other departments may seem a little lacking. Not being an engineering student myself (Business), I have been satisfied with the academic staff but not wow'd. Most professors are fun while others are just there for a paycheck but I expect that to be the standard for most schools. Perhaps due to the recent swap from quarters to semesters, the school has some administrative growing pains. I do not live on campus myself and for what I gather, most people don't as the university has a reputation of being a "commuter school", this is especially relevant when looking for parking at the usual peak times (early semester, specific hours) and you'll need to find your own little parking tricks that you keep for yourself. The social/clubs/teams scene is what you make of it, there seems to be a lot of options if one wants to get involved. I have yet to be successful to find any sort of employment but there are a lot of opportunities to at least throw your name out there. "

" Pomona is one of the best schools to go to if you want to go into engineering hands down. The people are always friendly really feels like home. To all the future student I would say relax college isnt that hard if you stay focused and let go of all the mistakes you did in the past. "
