" Although CSULA is a commuter school, it is a great school where you actually get to know your professors and make some long-lasting friends. A lot of students would take public transportation since the school has bus and train stations on campus or drive or dorm (There would always be parking situations that would make a lot of students late though). The food choices on campus are alright with an El Pollo Loco, Carls Jr, Sbarros, Everytable, The Spot, a sandwich place, Juice It Up, and several student stores around the school. There are so many clubs & organizations on campus and it makes finding friends much easier. "

" Overall, I say that the university is good in my experience since I commute by bus. I also heard from students who dorm that it was horrible and a struggle. From my experience, I liked how the transportation to the school was simple and easy. I could go by bus or by the Metrolink. The professors I had were strict but kind and fair. The resources and support were very helpful when an issue popped up and helped guide me through them. In terms of clubs, I didn't see many clubs on campus, but perhaps I was looking in the wrong place. "

" This is very much a commuter school with little sense of school spirit. You come for class and that's about it. Students mostly keep to themselves, and if you need help, you'll have to seek it out because most professors won't go out of their way to offer support. "

" CSULA was the only university I applied for straight out of high school so granted, my perspective of this school was influenced by my lack of motivation for attending college. For many of my other friends who did not come from a more affluent community like I did though, I'm sure it's a good school. "

" The campus is mainly a commuter campus, therefore parking can be a hassle due to Los Angeles traffic. Staff is supportive of your career interests so long as you put in the effort of seeking support. Food court was decent and there are plenty of outside and inside study areas. Lots of computer labs throughout the campus and overall the campus is very lively with multiple events. "
