" I have been impressed by my experience at LACC. The professors have been mostly accessible, interesting, and knowledgeable. I have been frustrated with the accessibility and availability of the counseling department as they seem to be way understaffed and it is always difficult to speak to someone or get an appointment when needed. Beyond that, I have valued my education here and am excited to transfer into a 4 year university to complete my bachelor's degree. "

" LACC is overall good, but I think people shouldn't expect much higher from community college. I think community colleges are great IF you work your ass off and focus on your studies so that you can graduate and transfer to a proper university quickly (under 2 years). If someone is a working student and can't take a full time class, there are online classes available in this college. LACC has a great atmosphere, supportive student services, and great clubs (though I didn't join any clubs since I'm a working student and didn't much have time). Professors are great too (if you selected the good ones based on RateMyProfessors.com)! "

" Just a city college where the professors do their best to make sure you can transfer out. It's pretty much like any other city colleges. There are professors who do part time here after their lectures are done on other campuses, so very connected. Only problem that I would say that really bothered me was trying to meet with a counselor and the lines. Sometimes, the availability is also really low. Or their online attempts to make things easier glitches out. Overall, as a student in a class, not so bad. However, trying to get more involved with the staff there to further advance your educational agenda is kind of hard. "

" LACC is a great community college to start your major journey. As an international student, I was happy with the staff there. They were always ready to help with any question that concerned me. Most of the professors are friendly and they also are looking forward to helping you with your academic success. In addition to that, it is easier to transfer from LACC to any CalState (in LA specifically) or any UC in California. I was happy to attend this college. "

" The school can be enjoyable but the academic staff is not the best. Not all professors in the school enjoy what they teach; some actually find their way to help you as much as possible and give hard enough material for students to actually learn. That said, they try their best but some professors want to have an easy time and give whatever letter grade they'd consider passable. Finally, there are plenty of food locations to go and the facilities are good if you ever need help with class accommodations, financial aid, counseling, etc. "
