" I was happy with my choice to attend SDSU for my undergraduate degree. There is a culture on campus - many people hangout at the school due to the great food and beautiful buildings. There is always something going on in the student center (free bake sales, open mic music, poetry slams, dance classes). I didn't realize how much of a culture there was on campus until I went to San Francisco State University for my master's degree, and no one hangs out on campus. SDSU is a lot of fun! "

" SDSU is a great school if you have the courage to put yourself out there and make the most of it. Getting involved is a must or else it can feel really lonely since it's such a large, but small-feeling campus. "

" Loved university life. It was hard to have discussions with the professors because of the class sizes and their attitude toward giving time to students was not very supportive. Not safe to walk around at night, and the parking was a challenge. Some of the classes were outdated in terms of technology. "

" The philosophy department was like a small liberal arts college hidden inside a university which I loved. Dedicated professors, thoughtful classmates. The larger university experience was unpleasant tho. The bureaucracy of meeting requirements was frustrating and the parking was terrible. Basketball games would take up whole parking structures and there were tons of unused staff parking near classes at night that I otherwise would have to park an unsafe distance away from. SDSU has a terrible reputation for culture and aside from my little corner in philosophy, I completely agree. "

" Beautiful campus with lots of available spots to sit to study, read, and hang out with friends while you wait for your next class. The parking was never too bad if you don't mind walking up some stairs. My only complaint is that I wish classes I need to take were available for fall and spring semesters at more than one time/day. Also, fees can be costly for no apparent good reason. For example, I had to pay a $250 orientation fee that was over zoom! But hey, in return I got stickers, a drawstring bag and a license plate frame. Thanks, I guess. "
