 " Sonoma State is a great school, especially for locals transferring from local community colleges. The campus is beautiful and located in the heart of Sonoma County surrounded by wineries. They have the Green Music Center on campus which hosts many concerts and events. All the teachers have been great to work with and really strive for all their students to succeed. "

 " The campus has pretty surroundings, but the Wi-Fi is pretty bad. Some professors are great, while others aren't as strong. The frequent scandals involving the administration can get a bit tiresome. Overall, I enjoy studying here most of the time, but the poor Wi-Fi and a few professors who probably should retire can be draining. I really like how small the school is because it creates a strong sense of community. The issues are mostly minor, but I wouldn't recommend living on campus or moving here from another state. It's definitely better suited for local students. "

 " This school has been pretty good overall. Professors are Knowles able and enthusiastic, and facilities and campus is well maintained and very aesthetically pleasing. Admin and faculty are disorganized though, advisors are often confused and clueless, and the President is always in hot water over a scandal. Social life is nonexistent as a commuting student who doesn’t want any part of Greek life. Registration and online services are poorly managed as is often the case. Overall rating would be a B or B- "

 " Good so far, considering we are totally remote at the moment.  My online classes are manageable and my schedule works with the program so far. Not terribly expensive to attend.  Professors seems highly knowledgeable and friendly.  I reccomend Sonoma State for anyone pursing teaching of communications "

 " My time at SSU has definitely been eventful, what with the fires and COVID-19, but I think it's a great CSU that not enough people know about, particularly if you're interested in the humanities side of things "
