" It's a good school but too expensive. The academics are on par with a good state school but at private tuition. Great option for an undergraduate that really wants to attend college in a central Washington, DC location and also an excellent platform for any graduate student that wants to develop a career in DC. " I did not participate in any sports so cannot give an appropriate response on sports facilities. The "Masters in Public Health program @ GW" is an distance learning program with opportunities to take courses on campus as well. The quality of engagement from faculty has been excellent. The quality of engagement from students has been moderate (some students are just there to do the minimal amount of work to obtain the degree, as which is common at any university). I do wish the school would raise standards of acceptance to have more high quality students in which to engage with in and out of class. There have been some exceptional peers I have encountered, but those were the outliers. "

" The best part about GW is the location. There is a lot to do and DC is a very vibrant city. The campus is close to everything and public transportation is really helpful. There's a lot of different types of food and events that are free. The academics really vary based on the program that you're in and the faculty within that specific program. The facilities at the school are outdated and tuition is overly expensive. "

" I wouldn't trade GW for the world. Although I feel like everyone here have some sort of inferiority complex and are self-selected to be extremely critical of the school, GW is a great institution, comparable to NYU, BU, and other market basket schools in education quality. The urban setting is definitely utilized in classrooms and you'll find your community here no matter what. "

" I am an online student so I do not participate in many campus activities but so far classes and professors have been great. The online programs are rigorous and full of actual real life experience. Something I really appreciate "
