" I enjoyed my college experience. Teachers and staff were super nice and supportive. I was the president of my majors club for a while. School was tough took me longer than most. My best advice is when you need help ASK. the worst thing that's going to happen is they say no. But in the ten years I was in school doing an A. S. a B. S. and a boot camp no teacher ever denied me like that. No matter what you think is different in your head people out in the world aren't as mean or petty as you can make them in your head. "

" Great school for academic enrichment and setting you up for your career. Also good community and people. At times, the rigorous curriculum can be overwhelming but there are a lot of resources to help you succeed. I have gotten so many opportunities through Georgia tech and so glad I went here. Go Jackets! "

" GATech is a great technical college and one of the best schools to go in the south east if not one of the best in the country. The curriculum is rigid but the school provides many opportunities and connections for students "

" Like most colleges, there are some really amazing professors and some that are not so good. Generally speaking the good profs are really easy to get ahold of if you need extra help both while your in the class and afterward — this part is amazing. They have the problem of tenure and thus have some profs that just don't care. All colleges would be better off without tenure. Role for life is a bad concept across the board.
I do wish they would pool their recruiting services. Some colleges (each area is it's own college) are great with this, but generally not a strong suit. Despite this, the alumni are GREAT, so just add any of them on LinkedIn, and they'll do their best to help.
Overall, I found the campus facilities to be lacking from an hours perspective. The invention studio is absolutely amazing, but, it can be tough to use the shop because it's only open during general class hours… when we have class. Get to know the lab GRA's/PI's because they have 24 hour access.
Campus facilities and Admin received a 2/1 star because the food on campus is absolutely terrible, based on the quality, price ($16 for drop in) and the hours of operation. It's all you can eat so if you're clever you can bring Tupperware and do a 2 for 1. This is definitely frowned upon so don't get caught haha. It's very difficult to book private study rooms on campus. Despite what the sign says, you cannot book on the fly. Like many universities they're strangling themselves with policy and procedure instead of thinking about solutions to increase throughput through limited facilities. The gym is great but they need like 2 more of them. Generally speaking things move a bit slower than I'm used to at other universities and definitely from the private sector.
The undergrad social scene seems fun, not really crazy, but like wholesome fun. If I compare it to my undergrad it's much more tame. haha. The grad social scene is tough because we're really spread out and they don't really have cross functional events. "

" Good for academics, lacks social life and extracurriculars. A lot of the clubs and extracurriculars are focused on academics and there's not enough ones where you can just meet people. In addition, the school doesn't emphasize enough on mental health and physical health. "
