" Columbia has many resources for each department, my professors have been amazing, and most importantly they help you network. There are many different areas of study that you can dabble in. Like fine arts, business, music, and much more. "

" I would not recommend this school. I did not feel properly prepared for getting a job after graduation, as the feedback on my projects and portfolio was limited. As a result, I did not feel ready for the industry. I am not sure what the curriculum is like now, but it is something future students may want to consider. "

" I have had a good experience so far. The professors are all very cool and understanding, creatives tend to be that way. Majority of the professors I have had so far are industry professionals, so it has been a great way to network and build connections for my future job search. In my program, there are A LOT of group projects, and as someone who does not particularly love group work, it has been a hard adjustment, but it comes with the field, so it is a good learning opportunity to work with people who may not be as motivated as you are. One thing I will say is that I wish they were just a bit more high-tech. For example, there are quite a few professors who, despite being industry professionals, are not tech savvy and do not know how to use Canvas. Another example is during the class registration process, you have to manually go back and forth to type in which classes you want to add to your schedule and check every day if spots opened up in the section you want. The school that I transferred from had a shopping cart system where you added all the classes you wanted to take to your cart and it registered you all at once. They also had a waitlist system that would give you a spot in line and automatically add you to the class if a space opened up. These are little things, but it makes such a difference and I would love to see Columbia implement these things. Overall a great school for celebrating your creativity and it is a place where you can really grow at your own pace. "

" Living expenses were difficult if you live off campus. Not much guidance from advisors - heads up there is one advisor per department so good luck getting any kind of personal connection. Financial aid is understaffed and under funded. Unless you live on campus, you're going to have to try pretty hard to make friends outside of class. Good luck! "

" Overall decent school just overly priced. Some of the buildings are a lot older so accessibility is sub par in certain areas. They heavily promote how inclusive they are and then when you get here they don't always walk the walk just talk the talk. "
