" I had a great experience at the University of Chicago. The academics were top notch, the campus is incredibly beautiful, and I met many interesting people. When I started as an undergrad student, I never could have imagined leaving with a PhD! My time there helped me grow both academically and personally, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to study there. "

" I think that the administration has a lot of work to do in supporting marginalized students and addressing the harm it has caused surrounding communities. Some aspects are good though; there are some amazing professors and workers. Majority of the students are also wonderful and interesting. "

" University of Chicago is a highly rigorous and competitive academic environment, but it does foster amazing academic skills. The quarter system is very fast paced and it really is stressful, but goes by quickly. There are incredible selections of classes, Professors and academic opportunities in general. "

" The University of Chicago has provided me with unparalleled opportunities, but not without some major challenges. PROS: There is fantastic support for certain types of careers, especially banking and consulting. I was able to get a $40/hr internship as a sophomore and junior, and am headed to a job after graduation that I never could have dreamed of having after graduation. The economics department is one of the best in the world, and though challenging, has absurdly brilliant faculty and tons of resources. Hyde Park is decently nice and not too expensive, and has been improving steadily in the years I've attended the school. CONS: UChicago is certainly not a typical college experience. The academics are very, very intense, and require a huge amount of your time. Students do not care much about school sports or social outings. I would not say that I value "fun" all that much, but I do sometimes feel like if I could do college again, I may have selected a top school that had a more happy and fun environment. Many administrative processes here do not work well or efficiently, and to receive support as a student, you have to seek it out. Very "sink or swim" experience overall. "
