" Indiana University has a storied and illustrious history, one with countless triumphs, discoveries, and, yes, plenty of controversies. In its over 200 years existence, I now find myself walking the halls and grounds of some of the most fascinating and iconoclastic persons ever to have called the Cream and Crimson, Hoosier life their own. How does one even begin to compare their own scholastic endeavors when you hear a piece performed by Josh Bell, see the works and comics of Michael Uslan, admire the courage and tenacity of Laverne Cox, or enjoy a Sunday New York Times crossword by the enigmatically-majored master, Will Shorts? Indiana University does indeed have an incredible lineup of notable alumni, and a stocked bench—athletic and figurative-- to boot. Where do I fit in? Where do we fit in? This place we give our minds, hearts, tears, and highest goals to is not an impossible idol on a golden, or Crimson, pedestal. We were all accepted into this university, into the B1G, into a statewide community boasting 8 IU campuses. When I find myself feeling daunted, or on the edge of faltering, I remember that each and every person to graduate and make positive impacts on the world were once students just like myself. From Herman B Wells, to Alfred Kinsey, to Eleanor Ostrom: I, too, am a Hoosier. In the battle against the ever-present imposter syndrome, the famous lines from “Indiana Fight” do ring true; “Never daunted, we cannot falter. In the battle, we're tried and true!” “Gloriana, Frangipana, ee’er to her be true.” I may be just another Hoosier, though this Hoosier has set not limits for their self… and neither should you. " Indiana University is a perfect for those who are extroverted. It is kind of a party school. However for those who live off campus there is not much to do in the city of Bloomington itself if you aren't apart of a crowd. Overall a pretty good school. "

" The academics are great and the campus is beautiful. Public transit options are very limited, though, and the gym gets very crowded on peak hours. Socially, basically everything is available. Greek life has had a problem with sexual assaults, though. "
