" Commuter campus, definitely not for partying but good school. My experience as a non traditional student has been good and there are also other non traditional students. Good if you want to focus and not get distracted by too much partying "

" I think this is a great campus. I am an older student and I feel very accepted here. The professors are great and you they are there for their students and want to succeed. There has been a lot of supports put in place to help students, especially if they are struggling with things outside the classroom to help them in their journey of obtaining their dream of a college degree. " IU Columbus is really small but does its best with the resources it has available. There could be expanded parking and more safety precautions as anyone can enter the small building. But I feel the IU Spirit and the teachers and classes are great. My major complaint with the classes is that when there aren't enough students enrolled to a class the course has to be dropped by anymore enrolled. The downside of small colleges. However, the psychology research teachers are great and I have been able to get involved with a research team and I have applied to OSR in Chicago. I don't think I would have done it if the teachers had not been opened to allowing their students to get involved with what little they have started off with but are continuing to form. "

" IUPUI, the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, stands as a notable university with several strengths that make it an attractive choice for prospective students. In terms of location, IUPUI benefits from its position in downtown Indianapolis, a vibrant urban setting that offers students a rich array of cultural, professional, and recreational opportunities. The campus's integration within the city fabric fosters a unique learning environment that connects academic pursuits with real-world experiences. When considering tuition fees, IUPUI has taken significant steps to ensure clarity and affordability for its students. The university's fee restructuring initiative has resulted in a more equitable distribution of fees over the course of students' education, thereby reducing financial unpredictability. Furthermore, IU's commitment to affordability is evident through a 57 percent increase in institutional aid over the past eight years, allowing more than half of this year's undergraduates to graduate without debt. IUPUI's dedication to research infrastructure is demonstrated through initiatives like the Grand Challenges program. This pioneering approach brings together faculty and students from diverse disciplines to address major societal issues, such as Precision Health, Environmental Change, and Addiction Crisis, with a substantial investment of $300 million. Additionally, the Greening IUPUI grants support student-led projects that align with campus sustainability principles, promoting hands-on research experiences and impactful outcomes. The university's dedication to sustainability research is also evident through its various programs. The Welcoming Campus Innovator Initiative is tied to IUPUI's strategic plan, supporting student success, faculty and staff development, and community engagement. The program covers diverse areas like public art, accessibility, urban restoration, and community integration. All of these elements combined, highlight IUPUI's commitment to providing a holistic and enriching educational experience for its students. In summary, IUPUI's favourable location, transparent fee structure, and robust research infrastructure, as evidenced by initiatives such as the Grand Challenges and sustainability programs, collectively contribute to its reputation as a distinguished institution offering a well-rounded education in a dynamic urban environment. " 10/10 recommend. The best school I’ve gone to super flexible if you need to be flexible in your schedule and you don’t have to take as many classes as a regular college to meet the full-time criteria simply because they’re hours per class are set differently. A masters degree is 180 hours versus the traditional 120 hours, but that is because they offer six hours per class instead of the traditional four "
