" The IDIA program at UB is fantastic. It gives you real world experience that leaves you with an extremely competitive portfolio before you're finished. They also support whatever research you want to do, if applicable. They are willing to support your ideas and help you attain your goals if you ask. It is a very challenging program, but I've found it very rewarding. It is also very affordable, comparatively. It isn't the easiest to be social with online classes, but you can make it work. "

" The UBALT is a small but supportive school. I appreciate the small class sizes that allow me to develop relationships with professors and peers. While there are not that many on-campus clubs etc events are held from time to time. This campus also doesn't have dorms as it is not a "traditional" university. However, there is a lot of housing nearby as well as a plethora of food choices. The professors in the psychology department are awesome and provide a lot of support to their students. "

" The University of Baltimore is located right next to Penn Station in Baltimore City. As a result, it's structured to fit in with the area and does not offer housing of any kind. The school could do better to reach out regarding clubs and academics that aren't its law school. The staff are close to students and its student aids, where they are offered, are excellent. However, it does lack counseling services (those are provided at a discount rate by a third party) which could be a deal breaker. Professors are generally great and want to see you succeed. Due to location, extra safety precautions may need to be taken. "

" I learned a lot from all of my classes and got a job after my first semester. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to everyone. All of the classes were coupled with actual clients. It helps build a portfolio. "

" UB has made a lot of changes in recent years, and most of them have not been for the better. While this is a great institution for nontraditional students and those just looking to finish their degrees, it's still not a school I would recommend. Almost every part of my experience was a hassle. My application was lost. My adviser didn't know what classes I needed to graduate, let alone how frequently they were offered and what prereqs were needed to take them. Most of the professors were wonderful, but the actual substance of the classes was often lacking. I've since learned that most of the professors are way underpaid and juggle multiple jobs. It makes sense that their class materials would not be their top priority, but that still negatively impacts the students. The already lacking counseling services were removed. Removing the gym is a subject that keeps coming up as well. The new library is barely a library; it's mostly a computer lab/study space. You used to be able to enter any of the buildings at will, but now you need to have your Bee card on you at all times, both for building entry and in case a security officer demands identification. The environment is increasingly hostile and I'm not confident that sufficient improvements will be made in the near future. "
