 " My cohort and professors are extremely friendly and supportive - great climate for graduate students. However, not much financial options are available so you'd need to be a Graduate/Research/Teaching Assistant to earn tuition remission. That could be extremely painful depends on your luck and positions. In my case, while my co-workers are amazing, we are short-staffed and I had to take up so much work. Extremely demanding to work the entire 20 hours a week while being a full-time student. "

 " It's a good university, although social life is hard. There are a lot of people in the university to meet, but it can have a lot of cliques. For most people, it works to be in a club, which there are a lot of in the uvniversity. "

 " The University of Maryland is a great school to attend. There are great academics and the campus is beautiful. The staff cares about the students and there are plenty of resources for students who may need to access extra help academically. "

 " I'm an exchange student and I want to express my personal opinion, I came here at university of maryland one month ago and I currently assess the university extremely positive. The classes are interesting and stimulating, the environment is nice and welcoming with international students. There are a lot of initiatives and things to do. "

 " It is a great school for those in in-state but sort of dwindles when you consider it from an out of state perspective. Faculty has always been amazing but there are a lot of administrative issues ongoing whether it be class management or how to properly maneuver to deal with student issues. "
