" Overall my experience at SU was great! It was a perfect size for me. Not too big but not too small. I felt that all my teachers really cared and provided the best learning experience. There was definlety opportunities available. Food was better than most MD schools and I always felt safe on campus. I will say just like any college what you put in is what you get back. I got involved on campus and met a lot of people, found my forever friends, and found opportunities. Again I had a wonder experience and would recommend SU. "

" Salisbury University is an academic institution focused on the students! Faculty are attentive to the needs of pupils, the campus is nice and at a middling size the university is neither too large nor too small. "

" SU definitely has its pros and cons. If you're a nursing, business, or education major, this is a great school for you. If not, you should consider going elsewhere if you have the option to. Most students who attend this school are from the surrounding areas in MD, and there are definitely better schools in MD than SU. So like I said, if you have the option of going to another school in MD, go.
The campus facilities are at both extremes. On one hand, some of the buildings are large, gorgeous, and completely renovated. But, some of the buildings are extremely run down and there are even some classrooms and offices located in houses around the outside of campus, which is kind of odd and confusing.
Social life here is okay. On one hand, there's greek life. So, you never have to worry about finding a party. But, that's it. There's not a lot of bars or good places to go out in the area. So, get used to house parties for the next four years of your life.
While I've had the luxury of never dorming, I've been in some of the dorms and they aren't that great. If you can, try to get into one of the newer dorms or apply for off campus housing. Honestly, you'll get more bang for your buck for the apartments located right outside of campus.
That's another thing that should be mentioned. The city of Salisbury itself isn't necessarily the best place ever. It's pretty raggedy and you shouldn't be out by yourself after like midnight. It's in the middle of becoming a true college town and getting rid of the crime that's been there for years.
One of the biggest perks of SU is the fact it's so close to Ocean City, which is a great beach town. Once it starts getting hot, you'll most likely end up taking the 30 min drive to the beach every other day with your friends, which is always great. Chances are, you'll most likely be friends with or at least know someone who grew up in OC or Salisbury, so they already know the town like the back of their hand and can show you around.
Overall, I don't necessarily regret attending SU. If I had to rate it out of five, it would probably score a 3.5 in the sense that it's not the worst place to go to college, but there are better schools not too far away like Towson and UMD College Park. "
