 " Residence life is an absolutely atrocious entity on campus that soured my experience here. Anyone with a scholarship from the university is required to live on campus as a condition of the scholarship, and they leverage that to leach every penny out of students they can without providing adequate support for the cost. Otherwise, other campus organizations are very active and welcoming, administrative offices are very responsive, and faculty and staff are beyond willing to aid student success. "

 " I’m liking my time here! The campus is a good in-between size; no walks between classes are more than 20 minutes, but we still have a good sports and social scene. The biology department is fantastic and there’s usually openings for research or volunteering, even as a freshman student. "

 " I only attended online but as an educator myself, I am NOT impressed with the staff at CMU. They need some formal education training to be qualified to teach classes. Most of them were disorganized and didn't properly communicate due dates or assignment details. The university is also pretty discriminating against anyone that doesn't led a traditional life and you miss many opportunities if you have children, work more than one job, have health issues, etc. They expect your entire life presently and leading up to college for your graduate degree was working a 9-5 job for 40 hours a week without other events happening in your life.
I only recommend attending because the work is very easy and it's cheaper compared to other universities. It was also a unique concentration that I selected that related to my field that other Michigan colleges did not have. I also really liked the other students and classmates. "

 " Overall, I was happy to attend this university and as part of the Honors program I had a lot of really great opportunities. I graduated in 2016, so there may be some things that have changed but I felt like I was able to find groups I was interested in and volunteer through quite a few different avenues with ease. "
