" very select things are nice, but overall it's very mediocre. i believe there are select professors that are really worthwhile for research opportunities, so i recommend you find that out yourself and see if it aligns with your interests. "

" I'm a psy/art dual major. There are lots of labs to join. Many of the sport and rec facilities are new. The department with the least love seems to be art. I like Leid Library for the MakerSpace and AV studio. "

" UNLV is an accessible school, meant to support anyone who is willing to work hard. The diversity of students brings unparalleled experiences where a variety of perspectives are included in decision making. As an R1 institution, it provides the research and real world experiences of any top tier school, with an affordable price tag. I’m in the best program in the country for what I do (just so happens to also be at UNLV), and I have peers hired at NASA, getting paid to attend med school at UCLA, and Harvard Law. But, JT4 connections, UNLV Med, and UNLV Law all stand up to those examples. I feel lucky that my path lead to UNLV and I’ve taken every opportunity to make the most of what this school offers. "

" There was nothing overtly special about UNLV. Just a place to get my degree. If you’re not playing a sport or joining a sorority, there aren’t many clubs. It’s very much a commuter college. It did what it was supposed to do! "

" This school is awesome! I love the community and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. The campus is beautiful with plenty of trees. the facilities are great and the student wellness center is a nice amenity to have. "
