" Brookdale is a good place to start your college career, as a jumping-off point. Most of the professors I've had here are wonderful teachers and people. When it comes to the profs. here as long as you do your research aka look on rate my prof. you'll be fine. Of course, they're always going to be the annoying few.
I find that Brookdale doesn't have many specific majors but that mostly because most kids do transfer out, I am technically a Marketing major, but I have to declare Business as mine.
When it comes to food, there are some decent options, but when you're allergic to dairy and celiac,
things get kinda difficult, there really are no options for people with allergens.
I wish there were easier access to transportation to Brookdale, an easier guide to figuring out how their bussing systems work because there is almost no information. And the info that is there is kinda confusing.
The social scene at Brookdale again is dependent on transportation, because of it a CC. So if you can't drive/don't have reliable transportation their good luck on joining any clubs/going to any events.
Overall, a good starting place for me, as a lost highschooler. CSSC (a class a bdale) actually helped me figure out what it was that I wanted to major in and I'm transferring next year so super exciting! "

" I have been at Brookdale for some time on and off. I have seen some of the changes over time. Some have been good such as updatingvthe system to be more electronic in organizing paperwork and the breakdown of credits being able to transfer to other college/universities. One particular thing that I have and issue with, and it is a constant complaint from others as well, is that the school has changed all the advisors to counselors. They don't have the same level of academic advise for working towards a degree. Sure, some counselors can give sound advice and very helpful, but not all can give advice or information of the same level. When they started having counselors, I searched what I need for my degree on my own. Outside of this, Brookdale is a good foundation for getting a degree if you want to same some money for genersl education courses or achieving at least your Associate's. "

" There doesn't seem to be a huge social scene, as most students drive to class, and then drive home immediately after class. "
